UOIT Capstone Project

A UOIT Capstone project by Faculty of Business and Information Technology students helped the Durham Region Unemployed Help Centre develop a new, interactive youth-oriented employment game called emplay. I was delighted to be part of the team! “emplay” was nominated for a $5000 Capstone award and was praised from an educational and technological perspective at “Level Up 2013”. Learn more.

Black History Month in Durham

On behalf of the Durham Welcome Centres, it was a privilege to help coordinate activities related to Black History Month. In collaboration with the Congress of Black Women of Canada (CBWC), the Whitby Public Library and Cultural Expressions Art Gallery, we held a panel discussion about the past, present and future of the black community.
